I had been wanting to compile some of Fringes earliest recordings for some time - mostly for my own amusement, but also because it's good to remember.

I finally went up to the attic, pushed my way past the boxes containing hundreds of out of print Fringe CDs and found the box containing ADAT's, DAT's, tapes and CDR's of jamb sessions, song ideas - every musical memory that we thought to record "back in the day."

I have compiled two recording sessions to make one EP.

The "Returning Missionary" song is the first I ever recored in studio - I recorded it pre-Fringe.

The other songs are from an EP entitled "Let It Begin." These songs helped Fringe land some gigs and also gave us a taste of the magic that is the recording studio.

The cover photo was by friend, singer/songwriter/ all around musician, Jessie Sprinkle. It was taken on a cold western NY day outside the recording studio.
